Master Bedroom – Making it Happen

I am finally getting in gear for the master bedroom re-do.  Wait, instead of “re-do” I should just say “do” cuz nothing’s ever been DONE to begin with.

I have slept in a giant white builders box for 2 years now.  I want my serene calming retreat and I want it now, damn it!

I  have mulled over designs, schemes, trends and wish lists.  I created the  jumble of crap mood board below.

I have worked on smaller individual projects, but after all that, I still feel like I am not going to end up with a cohesive look.  Those projects include the bench at the end of the bed and the Louis XVI chair make-over.

So, I enlisted the help of one of favorite bloggers and designers, Bryn from Bryn Alexandra Interiors.   After some consulting, she provided me the mood board  that will allow me to build the room according to a master plan.

I am happy to say there is a plan:

There are a few changes I’d like to make but overall, it helps to have something to work TOWARD.

I can’t wait to start working on it.  Look forward to the post in, what, 2020?!

  1. I am an interior designer and have been working in the field for 6 years…I can tell you have the talent! You should try to get into design and see what happens :)
